Ms.
Feingold has been an oncology consultant since 1990, and has worked
in two consulting firms prior to starting Crossroads Cancer Consulting.
Her
experience in oncology consulting has ranged from large strategic
planning projects in major teaching hospitals to program assessment,
market analysis and strategic planning in community hospitals
of all sizes.
Because
of recent trends in the integration of hospitals into large systems,
and increased interest in the development of integrated oncology
programs and networks, in recent years, Ms. Feingold has provided
consulting support to many types of integrated oncology programs.
Other
projects include oncology benchmarking, quality improvement through
pathway development and use of guidelines, market analysis on
both local and regional levels, and analyses in support of specialty
or "niche" program development.
Prior
to entering consulting, Ms. Feingold was Vice President, Medical
Affairs at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, a large
tertiary facility with a medical staff of 600. Her responsibilities
included medical staff credentialing, quality review, utilization
management, risk management, and staffing of the Bioethics Committee
and Institutional Review Board.
Ms.
Feingold served as Administrative Director of the St. Vincent
Medical Center Community Hospital Oncology Program (CHOP), an
NCI-funded community cancer control demonstration project, successfully
competed for and developed St. Vincent's Community Clinical Oncology
Program (CCOP), and also administered an American Cancer Society
grant for development of a model cancer rehabilitation program
in a community hospital.
She
also administered community outreach programs at the University
of Southern California Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and
at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Ms.
Feingold has a Bachelor's degree from the University of California
and a Master's degree in Public Administration, Health Services
Specialization, from the University of Southern California.
